    Several studies have evaluated the potential role for IgG anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibodies in juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) concerning diagnosis and disease outcome.1–6 Unlike rheumatoid arthritis (RA),7 8 no study in JIA has evaluated the distribution of anti-CCP antibody isotypes and assessed their significance in the disease process.

    We assessed anti-CCP antibody isotype distribution in 72 consecutive patients with JIA (59 female and 13 male), including 14 with IgM RF-positive polyarthritis, 24 with IgM rheumatoid factor (RF)-negative polyarthritis, 21 with oligoarthritis, 11 with systemic-onset arthritis, and 2 with psoriatic arthritis.
